Hating Math

I am fucked.
Source.
I can parent with a sense of humour. I have that down pat, thank you very much. However, I hate maths yet I'm about to embark on a course in accounting.

Why?

I did a unit in accounting during my Diploma and loved it. Excelled too. I also did some bookkeeping in my last job.

I'm also real fucking boring. Didn't you know?

Me liking accounting really doesn't make sense. I dropped out of maths in year eleven and only just passed year ten maths. I need a calculator to add up the smallest numbers. I'm not even exaggerating. Mind you, I loved my psychology statistics unit (thank you distinction) and that is full of numbers and equations.

What. The. Fuck?! Can this even be explained?

It has to be technology. Statistics was horrible back before the university I went to introduced statistical software. Now it's interesting and a hell of a lot easier, hence the distinction.

Thank you technology!

This semester I'll be studying marketing and management, then I get to do a unit on accounting.

Fingers crossed I won't suck at this like I ended up sucking at psychology. Fuck you organised psychology.

Losing

I'm losing my blogo.

Lufflump is not going to bed until stupid o'clock which means that I don't have any 'me' or 'we' time at night to be lazy, blog or watch inappropriate movies.

Mothers, did your toddler do this; have their usual midday nap (two hours) then stay up way past their bed times (like to ten or eleven pm)? What did you do? I've tried dropping his midday nap or at least shortening it but he is so cranky and falls asleep on the floor. Last night I had enough and spent an hour getting him to sleep but I missed The Block and that can't happen again. HELP!
He seriously can sleep anywhere
I'm also stuck on what to write about. I went through my blog to give a post to someone so they could use it as a guest post on their blog and you know what!? There isn't much on here. So now I'm thinking, what did I post on here before? Am I really a blogger? What is a blogger?

So I need some time out. Not a week or anything but I think that I will have weekends off. So now I blog Monday to Friday. I think that will help as I'm not feeling so pressured.

Oh and I quit uni. Well, not really. I did my mid-term exam and only got 50%. I know I should be happy that I passed but bleh. I'm just not into it. I've decided to sit this unit out. Organisational Psychology is boring. No offence to organisational psychologists but I'd rather sit next to a bank manager at a dinner party than you. If you are an OP please change my mind and tell me how the hell you managed to study such a boring subject.

Seeing as it's a weekend now I will post this to say that I will no longer be posting on a weekend. That may change in the distant future but right now this is my new routine.

Over It

Munchkin is still sick.
Cuddles
It's been a week and I'm over it.

A week of sleeping all day. A week of spewing. A week of temperatures. A week of getting nothing done because he has to be carried. A week of having a newborn again. A newborn that spews often. A newborn that weighs over 10kgs.

Munchkin is very affectionate normally so I don't need the cuddles. Not the type where if I lie in bed with him and move he wakes up.
More sick cuddles
Tomorrow I'm supposed to be volunteering at the Youth Seminar where His Holiness the Dalai Lama is speaking. I've had to cancel because munchkin is too sick to go to daycare.

While laying in bed with munchkin I reluctantly sent the volunteer organiser an email apologising for any inconvenience caused. Munchkin then decided that he felt fine and wanted something to eat.

He got out of bed and we watched a movie about dragons. We pointed out colours on the movie and I talked to him about dragons. He then drew some dragons and was so proud. It's more than he's done in days.

In a week he's eaten two pieces of bread, a slice of pizza, an apple, and a handful of chips. Tonight, however, he has eaten a slice of bread, ten olives, some pasta, and some yoghurt.

How is it that children know that's it time to perk up after you have cancelled your daily duties? Is it a sixth sense they have?

I know he isn't still 100%. He's back asleep for the night and his eyes, mouth and nose are still bright red.
Gassy munchkin
Tomorrow I have decided I will get stuff done though. Tomorrow I will focus on university. Tomorrow I will clean the bathroom at least.

(He woke up twice while I typed this. Frustration maxed.)

Lacking

I haven't posted as much as usual because of this;
Yep, uni has begun again.

I started this blog when I was on a break which was amazing. Thank you blog for helping me conquer boredom and meet amazing people. Now it's back and I'm trying to get ahead of everything so I can continue to blog daily.

This unit is through Macquarie University and is Organisational Behaviour. Sounds interesting doesn't it! Well it is and it isn't. I think Macquarie have done a wonderful job in making a boring topic interesting. We get to interview people for our assignment which I think is pretty cool. The mister has already been warned I'll be interviewing him and one of his staff. Sucker!

Overall I'm applying to do a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology) through Swinburne and Open Universities Australia. It's currently being APA accredited so *fingers crossed* I won't have to change to another university to get accreditation.

If you are interested in studying but are unsure if you have the time check out Open Universities Australia. I'm doing one unit at a time and that is plenty for me at the moment. I will be doing two next study period though so hopefully I'll be ok with that too. They have awesome courses and the staff and students are very helpful.
