Best Of The Past Week

Skating Date Friday night.

We spent Friday night and Saturday at MIL's while our leaking unit got fixed. It was wonderful and very relaxing.

Sesame sat up by herself at six months three days.

Lufflump had a fun week with blocks.

Northern Brisbane Rollers aka NBR (the league I'm learning with) have an awesome up to date Facebook page. Our Brawl Stars beat Victoria Roller Derby League's Queen Bees Saturday night!

Christmas Wish List

Dear Santa,

It's less than 30 days until Christmas Eve and I understand you are VERY busy. I'm sure I'm on the Nice List but I haven't yet told you want I'd like for Christmas. I'm sure I've said I want a lot of things but this is my final Christmas Wish List.

1. Macbook Air 2. Macbook Air Case

Tax time I was all set to get a laptop BUT a small car bingle caused our laptop money to go to an insurance company (like they don't have enough already). This Christmas I would love the above Macbook Air and hard case. It would mean I'd be able to easily blog in bed, at the park and on the couch. I'd be able to use the laptop while the mister or lufflump used the computer. 

 1. Hermes Desk 2. Hermes Desk Add On 

As I mentioned last week, I love our desk but it's a bit small. I can't really have a book open on the desk while being on the computer. It makes studying difficult and the mister will be doing some serious study for the airforce in the next few months. I love the Hermes desk and add on above, it'd be perfect. It could probably even fit where our current desk is and we'd convert our current desk back into a bookcase which would be more storage! Perfection.

1. Electric Garden Charger 2. Rhythm Clock 3. Kate Spade Chair 4. Genie Lamp

Little bits and pieces I'd love. The electric garden charger would look awesome on our new Hermes desk plus it's functional! 

How awesome is the clock?! We don't have a clock hanging up and it's frustrating. I wouldn't mind one of these clocks in our bedroom and lougeroom - different colours too please.

Our current desk chair has lost it's comfort. The mister thinks it's from all three of us sitting on it at the same time. I think it's from the chair just not harding the fuck up. Either way that Kate Spade chair is a trillion times better than our current Officeworks chair and would look so brilliant with the Hermes desk.

That lamp is perfect for my bedside table. It also comes in blue and green so the mister doesn't have to be stuck with pink. I need to girly the place up though and bring more pink in. This lamp would be a wonderful start.

So Santa if you could bring all or just one of the above items I'll promise to stay nice next year too. Lufflump is in the process of writing his list and the mister is a grinch so don't expect one from him.

iPhone breakage in more ways than one.

I broke my iPhone. 

It was surprisingly easy. It fell, like it had so many times before. It smashed so badly I had to put a screen protector (how ironic) on it so the glass didn't fall out or cut my hand.

Ouch

My MIL got sick of me having a smashed phone so for my birthday she got it fixed for me. Yay (thanks)!

Happy

It did mean I was without my phone for over twenty-four hours. 

Oh heck.

What did I do? It was a day with munchkin so we sat down together and drew, sang songs, danced, played cars and blocks, and watched movies. 

I read a whole book from cover to cover. Mind you that meant I didn't go to bed early.

I cleaned the house. 

I ate more than normal.

I watched more movies and actually knew what was going on.

So, if I didn't have an iPhone I'd spend more money, read more, blog less and be fat.

Oh heck.

I got my phone back and it's SO shiny! I love it. I can play Where's Wally again and he won't be so stealthy.

It's been charged three times since I got it back yesterday around 5pm and it will be charged again tonight.

Now all I need is an iPad2.

Guilt Hunting

The mister has a shooting game on his iPhone. 

An animal shooting game. Called Deer Hunter Challenge. I'm addicted to it and I hate it.

I'm an anti-hunter of any and every kind. Except the iPhone kind. I guess.

I was an anti-hunter of the iPhone kind too and told the mister off when I saw it on his phone. Then for some reason I can't remember I played it. 

I became the hunter.

So far I've been on no less than 25 day trips, about 5 two day trips and 10 eight day trips. 

I've hunted brown and black bears, pumas, moose and deers of different kinds. While writing this post I killed brown bears and moose.

I'm the abusive hunter too. If I miss I blame the animal not myself. I've called an elusive animal every name under the sun. Every bad name anyway. I've yelled at a bear for moving his head at the exact moment I fired causing me to miss and him to attack me.

That's another thing, I'm surprised and angry when attacked. How DARE a bear defend itself against me, a defenceless human. I can't shoot when being attacked, I can only run away. What a WASTE of MY time. It's irritating being attacked. Luckily straight after being attacked I can go back to my day hunting more animals.

I can't wait till the mister goes back to TAFE and work so I can't hunt. In fact that's the only positive to him going back. 

Then I may not also have a sudden obsession with flannos.

Text Relationship

ME: I just found the perfect job for you if the airforce doesn't work out.
HIM: Nope.
ME: You don't even know what it is!!!
HIM: Doesn't matter...
ME: Why?
HIM: What is the job?
ME: I can't discuss it over text. You'll have to wait till you get home. Bring warmth.
HIM: What do you mean you can't discuss over text? Is it a joke job? Like stripper or something?
ME: No it's not a joke job. It's a classified job. Classified as in secret. I feel like sauerkraut, mash and pork knuckle.
HIM: Hahaha ok I'll play your game.
ME: It's no game. It's true. Bring home German food?
HIM: Hahaha no it's not going to happen.
ME: Whhhy?!
HIM: Where?
ME: I need warmth. Pork belly warmth. Must be cooked when delivered. I have no idea where. It should be easy. Why is it so hard? New business venture?


No reply.


No German food delivered.


Job is a secret. I can't even tell you. It's real though. You can find it on the internet.


It's also freaking awesome and if I wasn't a mummy I'd so do it. I'm not saying I couldn't do it, because I've had a child, it's just that I couldn't leave so easily. Plus I don't think I'm that logical. I'd get distracted too easily too.


It will be revealed if you bring me German food. See above.


Don't expect a job to be open though. I found this out after telling the Mister all about it and him getting excited. We were pumped. So I click 'Apply'. 'Sorry there are no job openings'.

Best useful apps (in my opinion)

Oz Radar - Using BOM and GPS you can choose the radar closest to your city and be one touch away from seeing whether you need to get your washing in or can do more. We started with the lite version but purchased it later as we love it so much.


Shazam - Need to know that song on the radio or on that show? Use Shazam while the song is still playing and it'll send through the song via iTunes. I've used this app on songs in kids movies and it's worked. It's free too which is even better.


Bump - Share photos, music, contacts, apps, calendars and social networks with friends for free via Bluetooth. All you and a friend do is go into the application, bump your phones together, choose what to share and share. The mister and I use this a lot to share photos - usually him to me so I can post them on facebook. It's free and easy as to use.

Convert Units - Convert angles, area, data, energy, force, length, mass, power, pressure, speed, temperature, time, and volume all for free. I often use it when watching overseas programs as they use different measures for units such as mass, temperature and length. It's easy as to use.


Toilet Map - Toilet map was created by the Australian government and shows public toilets, including service stations, close to your location. It eased my anxiety while travelling and is perfect for a toddler who is toilet training.


Wikipedia - Need to know what, when, why or how about almost anything? Then you need this app. I've used this app while travelling to find out such things as the difference between a crow and a raven, cyclone and tornado, and what Arizona would be like to live in (blame NBC Today for their real estate segment).


IMBD - Want to know what that movie is about or who that actor is? IMBD has everything you need to know about movies and actors. I've used this countless times, ok every time I watch a movie. It's perfect for impatient people (me) to find out what happens in the movie they are watching.
