Jonathan Mead poses the challenge - If you had one week left to live, would you still be doing what you're doing now? In what areas of your life are you preparing to live? Take them off your To Do list and add them to a To Stop list. Resolve to only do what makes you come alive.
Bonus - How can your goals improve the present and not keep you in a perpetual "always something better" spiral?
To be honest I'm over this thinking of death. The first challenge included death, yesterday was a horrible day surrounding my Opa's death and it's not the end of it this week. Including this challenge.
If I had one week left to live these would be my lists.
To Do:
- Smile often
- Laugh often
- Stay up late writing
- Be mindfulness in everything
- Do a lot of crafts with munchkin
- Write letters to loved ones
- Dine out and eat slowly
- Read by candlelight
- Dance
- Have a big party with all my lovely friends
To Stop:
- Being on the computer while munchkin is awake
- Eating quickly
- Doing housework
- Multi-tasking
I'm going to test this out next week when this horrible week is over.
I am liking your Trust 30 Challenge posts- it is an incredibly tough time for you right now but been able to write is probably one of the best things you can do.
ReplyDeleteAgain I am so sorry about your Opa- my thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family.
My poppy also had alzhemers- he passed away when I was 8 and I don`t really remember a time when he knew who I was but I still remember his smell, the way his fingers always smelled like rolling tabacco and how much he loved maltesers. It is the strange things you remember and you will ALWAYS have the memories.
I could see how these #Trust30 posts could be a bit much for you this week - just soldier on the best you can and come back to them when you feel ready...
