The thirty-fifth challenge is to find 'a song from an artist you used to hate but now love'.
I struggled with this one. I eventually chose 'Breathe' by The Prodigy.
I remember hearing this song when I bought a cheesy compilation CD which included this song. I hated it. I bought the CD for some cheesy poppy song, probably Hanson. I thought this song was too angry and The Prodigy too nasty.
Now I love The Prodigy. We've seen them live twice. Mind you we don't talk about those times as they weren't happy times (first time I was angry pregnant, second time I had my drink spiked by a security guard).
When this song was played at Gold Coast's Big Day Out 2009 it was amazing. One of the best experiences I've ever had. The whole crowd was involved and the atmosphere was amazing.
I hope we see them again. This time I'll be happy and careful.
